New Garry's Mod Issue When I Join TBB 4 (UPDATED REREAD IT)

Okay the first issue is right after I get on everything pauses then I get a connection issue in the corner of the screen as if the server was crashing but it isn't...
The secont issue is that when joining TBB 3 my game gets stuck on downloading rp_evocity_v4b1.ain and sometimes it can get by after 10 minutes of being frozen at that screen but sometimes it just freezes there forever.
If you know how to fix any of these issues please tell me in the comments below.. These issues are really annoying and are preventing me from playing on any of the TBB servers and doing my job as a Admin...

Okay I am glad to say that's all fixed.. But now I got a new issue only when I try to join TBB 4.. When I am joining all is gong well then boom I get to "Workshop Complete" and it freezes.. I've let my game sit there for about an hour but it doesn't fix.. Now I don't seem to get these issues when I join other servers its only TBB 4...

Ok, try validating your files.
Two, keep rejoining, I honestly think it takes everyone forever to log in, especially for me, If its frozen, its loading, but if its 10 mins on where you hover over "Close" and it lights up, something is definetly wrong.
Third, you said it gets stuck on maps/graphs/rp_evocity_4b1.ain
Try downloading the .ain file from somewhere, and see if that screen goes away.

I've looked and looked but I cant find the .ain file..

I validated my files 11 failed.. But i restarted my game then did it agian and it was successfull... It seemed to fix the issue with the connection problem but i still cant join server 3.. I searched the internet some more for the .ain file but i coulden't find it.. Also when its frozen i can move my mouse but when i move it over the cancel button or something it doesn't glow.. Oh and also i was able to join the server with allmost no issue this morning.. I mean it did get stuck on downloading the .ain for about 5 seconts.. But then after i restarted my game it stopped working properly..


Scratch that.. It did not fix the connection issue.

Cast had the same issue and all I can say is the same thing I said to DERPhead is to make sure all your GMod stuff is in order and you're not having any internet related issues, such as your router or internet connection. Make sure your map is properly installed and you have all the addons and content needed to play on the server just in case FastDL isn't being your friend. That's what I did and I am usually able to join without any issues.

I have all the content installed.. And I really started having the connection issue after I installed server 3 content.. I mean I did have the issue just alittle before but it was this bad.

It's the amount of addons + your cpu speed that determines how fast your PC is able to catch up on what is currently happening on the server. Think of it like jumping on a moving train, your body needs to speed up to the speed of the train enabling you to hop on.

This is the same thing your game is doing when you join a server, it needs to be caught up to everything moving and all actions going on in the server. If you don't have enough CPU/Internet/Memory to hop on board, you'll eventually make it in but you'll have the autodisconnect timeout.

I can try to increase the auto-disconnect timeout to see if an extra 60 seconds will help people that are struggling.

Well I am happy to say all those errors I said in this post are fixed.. But Sadly a new one has come on.. And it only happends on TBB 4 which is my main server.. It freezes up right as it says "Workshop Complete" at this time I am so mad at gmod..
 
Its been over a day sence I've been able to join TBB 4.. Sooner or later I will be forced to quit and give up my position as a senior admin.. Please if you know what is wrong & a way to fix is comment below...
 
I`ll Try When I get home today. I have a pretty High End computer, So I will see what happens and Report it here. Until then, What kind of Computer do you have, and does it run Gmod Properly On a Regular Basis?
 
To be honest I don't full kind of computer I have but I will try my best to figure it out.. But it does play gmod well.. All I know of what type of PC I have is that its an HP Laptop..

I do remember having "Workshop Complete" error. What i did was...

1. fired up Garry's Mod.

2. Go to options

3. Go to Multiplayer

4. Set the Server downloads to: "Do not download any custom files"

This will basically ignore the "Workshop complete" error, and (presumably that you downloaded the custom content and got stuck at Workshop Complete, closed down Gmod, fired up Gmod, and followed my instructions) Will fire up the server with the custom content: Sort of a bypass.

My apologies for barging in a forum like this, but i felt it was better to help, rather sit in silence. So give it a try, Cman3144.
