I tried to log into my steam account, but for some reason it required a steam guard code, which it shouldn't require, but when I went to check my email, there was no steam guard code, so I went to go get steam support, and this error message came up : Steam servers are under maintenance. Normal operations will resume shortly. Thank you for your patience. , Then I tired to log into my account again, and I was able to, but for some reason it was locked, and I couldn't contact steam support about it because the *Steam services are under maintenance* Any Suggestions? :-\ |EDIT| I can get into my account now, and I have contacted steam support with proof of purchase, post no longer required.

I will suggest how to fix the most common problems:
1.Wait a few hours, if it does not STILL work, wait a day, then another day if still. This might mean steam is working on a live update but had a problem and did not want to damage acounts.
2. Your internet router may need a reset, or check your internet connection. If it comes up with a message saying "Retry or connect to Steam's offline mode" or something like that, check your internet connection. If it does not say your internet when you check the connection, reset your router that is running the internet.
3.If that stuff does not help, check the email for the steam account, usually if something happens to the account, you will be sent an email. If it is a bad emergency, the account is usually locked.
4. If you have a virus-protection application installed, use it and scan for a virus. If you don't download from the link I am providing for a free one: http://free.avg.com/us-en/free-antivirus-download
If it comes up with nothing after you've tried everything else I've told you, I can't help you.

I have had trouble with my steam account before as well. I contacted steam support and it took them about a week to ten days for them to get my account back. I would suggest to wait for steam support to reply, they may be slow but they will respond eventually.
